When you live in England and haven’t been in holiday in forever (like me) you kinda have to rely on fake tan. And lately there have been some really cool things appearing – first there was in shower fake tan, then express tanning formulas and now tanning water! Of course, I was very intrigued and HAD to try out this mysterious tanning water for myself and tell you guys the verdict…

So, as you can see the packaging is so so cute, Isle of Paradise comes in three colours: Peach (Light), Green (Medium – what I went for) and Lilac (deep, darker tan). It actually kind of blows my mind that this CLEAR LIQUID can potentially give me a summer glow. I am really impressed with the results, and as you can see from my before/after photo I have certainly achieved a summer glow.

It really does work, and I am super impressed with the results, here are my thoughts and tips on using the product:

  • Make sure you  exfoliate and moisturise your hands, elbows, feet and knees before application
  • Do lay out a towel/mat to stand on, the floor becomes slippery (the bottoms of my feet now also have a glowing tan)
  • As its clear and you cant actually see where you have applied it, it may not be easy if you have never fake tanned before at all
  • Try and have someone help, as its kinda awkward to spray on your legs as it doesn’t spray upside down (shout out to my sister for always tanning my back for me, ta sis) She sprayed my back and down the backs of my legs for me
  • Ensure you have a clean, dry fake tan mitt to gently GLIDE in sweeping motions. Don’t rub it in just blend it
  • Do not spray it too much over your hands… only do it lightly. My hands are very very tanned….. but not patchy (hurray)
  • You don't need to use too much, you literally just need a light spray to ensure your whole body is covered and a bit of blending
  • Don't put your clothes back on too quickly, let it dry!

Value for money: 4/5

Oh, and here is where you can buy it!

  1. You can definitely see the difference! Maybe the photograph showing your leg is done in light that it's not that visible, but on the hand you can clearly see it. It's really interesting how transparent fluid can just change into tan - I don't get it :)
    Great product anyway.
