REVIEW: WOMENS BEST PRE-WORKOUT BOOSTER

March 25, 2018

Sometimes, after a long day at the office, going to the gym is literally the last thing I want to do. I feel tired and weak and all I want to do is go home, lie on my bed and stare at the ceiling. Alas, there is perhaps a solution... pre-workout booster! I wasn't really sure it would benefit me, or if it was just a placebo thing but I did my research and decided to give Women's Best Pre Workout Booster a go. I really like it, and I have felt the difference and the only thing criticise is the shaker bottle as it keeps leaking!

What is pre-workout booster?
It is taken before a workout to essentially help increase your performance. It will give you that extra motivation and 'boost' for the duration of your workout. Pre workout solutions can vary in ingredients, and below I have put a breakdown of what this one contains and how it can benefit your workout.

Creatine Hcl
This is one of the worlds leading supplements. It helps push you harder in a workout by increasing your anaerobic exercise capacity. You'll find your muscles have more power and are able to cope with a higher number of repetitions.

Beta alanine
This combines with histamine to form carnosine. In English, this means it will reduce the build up of lactic acid as it increases the muscles buffering capacity of hydrogen ions, which results in improved muscle endurance and lean muscle mass. Be warned, Beta alanine in a high dose will cause your extremities (hands, feet, face and personally my ears!) to single and feel like they are getting hot. This is totally normal, it is called paresthesia and its a side effect. The more you take the more you will feel it, its a very strange sensation but not harmful.

L-Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutaric Acid 1:/ L-Citrulline-D
Also known as AAKG, this works by raising your Nitric Oxide levels, which helps to improve blood flow around your body, which helps to get all the nutrients pumped around your body that you need for your workout, therefore improving your overall performance as well as preventing muscle break down.

Maltodextrin
Studies have shown this sugar to significantly improve athletic performance, it helps sustain your energy levels when carrying out a long workout. It replenishes the stores of sugar in the muscles after an intense activity.

Has it made a difference?
It certainly has made a difference! I'm bouncing off the walls and raring to go. I have found I can lift more, do more reps and have so much more energy. I didn't take it before doing a workout the other day and I could really feel the difference, I didn't have the same motivation, stamina or endurance. Having said that, I don't feel you need it for every gym session, only the ones you are really pushing yourself and what a boost. I am also trying out the BCAA in Ice Tea Peach, so once I have used that more I will be putting up a review of that!

In summary
If you're looking for a way improve your performance and push your workouts to the next level I definitely recommend this product. I am already seeing the benefits and I have only been using it a couple of weeks! Take it about 15 minutes before you work out, and you will literally feel a buzz! I wouldn't recommend taking it too late in the evening though as you may then have trouble getting to sleep. It tastes yummy, easy to drink and i'm really seeing the difference. It is a big yes from me!

Have you tried a pre workout booster? If you have any questions or on any of this please comment!

  4. Oh I've never really tried pre-workout shakes as I usually have a post workout shake, or a protein bar. But this one sounds interesting, and the flavour seems delicious! x
